Leigh has a professional background in human resources, management, operations and sales with SunTrust Bank and Alys Beach. She also previously served as the Executive Director of the Scenic Corridor Association. She is currently Director of Community Affairs for Howard Group where she initiates, participates in and promotes projects and initiatives that improve the community in South Walton and South Okaloosa Counties. Focuses of her work there include beautification projects, transportation and other infrastructure improvements, quality of life enhancements, responsible growth and development and smart master planning.

Leigh presently serves on the Visit South Walton Destination Improvement Committee, the Walton County Design Review Board, the Executive Committee of the Scenic Corridor Association, the Historic Inlet Beach Neighborhood Association Board of Directors, the Walton Area Chamber Government Affairs Committee, the South Walton Community Council Board of Directors and the Citizens for a Scenic Florida Board of Directors. She also volunteers with Helping the Animals of the Walton County Animal Shelter and the Audubon Society’s Nesting Shorebird Alliance.

Leigh and her wife Shawne have lived in South Walton since 2004 and currently live in Inlet Beach.
